Supporting mission is important at CAC. It is our privilege to be involved in mission work overseas. We support our partners in prayer, by giving money and general encouragement. Missions is coordinated by Mike Dawborn ([email protected]). Here are some of our partners:-
Geoff, Robyn and their three children have been serving with CMS in Malta since 2008. Geoff has three roles; he is the minister of a church, a student worker at University and a lecturer at a Bible College. Robyn supports him in all these roles, at the same time as being a mother to Tim, Amy and Ben, and building ongoing relationships within the community. CMS is a fellowship of churches and individuals who together send out missionaries across cultures to proclaim the gospel if Jesus and to encourage his people. (www.cms.org.au)
Graham is an Engineering Manager at Global Recordings Network (GRN) in Sydney. He provides technical support for computers, recorders and playback equipment to GRN recording and field staff both in Australia and overseas. He is married to Sue and they have a young son Benjamin. Since 1939 GRN has been making the message of God’s word available in audio form to those who don’t read and those who do not have Scriptures in their own heart language. (www.globalrecordings.net)
Peter is a Special Religion Education (SRE) teacher at Cherrybrook Technology High School. As a church we support the Pennant Hills and Cherrybrook Christian Education Association (PHCCEA) which provides SRE at both Pennant Hills and Cherrybrook Technology High Schools. (www.phccea.org.au)
Rick and Jen and their three boys are serving with Pioneers in a small but growing Christian International School in Arusha, Tanzania. They are both teachers working in a school that has a mix of students including missionary children and local Tanzanians. Pioneers is a mission organisation passionate about reaching people who have the least opportunity to hear of God’s love. (www.pioneers.org.au)
Cherrybrook Anglican (CAC) has had a long term partnership with St Laurence Anglican Church in Barraba NSW. For ten years now CAC has sent a team to Barraba to partner with St Laurence in a one week evangelistic mission. Specific events focusing on outreach to Seniors, Men, Women, Youth & Children are all part of a busy week in the October School holidays each year.
